Kazi Samiur Rahman is a management professional with extensive experience in industrial project set up in consumer electronics and also sales-oriented banking in the financial sectors of UK and Bangladesh.
As Managing Director of Rancon Electronics, Samiur headed a new industrial venture which focused on establishing a full-scale refrigerator manufacturing plant. Under his leadership, Rancon Electronics launched a new home appliances brand – Astra in the Bangladesh market. Samiur also led Rangs Industries – another strategic business unit of Rangs Group involved in sales and distribution of global consumer electronics brands like Toshiba and Samsung.
As Head of Retail Business of IPDC, Samiur was instrumental in revamping the fledging retail department of the company. Under his leadership, the deposit portfolio of the financial institution grew substantially and he also signed landmark corporate agreements with a number of multinational companies. Samiur started his career with Barclays Bank in UK and later he worked for Standard Chartered in Bangladesh.
Samiur holds a B.Comm in Business Administration from University of Windsor and MBA from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka.

He was a career banker with more than a decade’s experience in Standard Chartered Bank and HSBC Bangladesh. Azad has a rich and diverse experience in customer service, sales & negotiation, Database Management, Operations, Service Quality and General Management. His strong background in sales management in two leading foreign banks demonstrates his talent and proven track record in establishing successful business relationships. He is a workaholic and believes stoutly on timely delivery. He enjoys ‘connecting’ with people and believes that this ‘connecting’ is essential to People Development. Azad holds post-graduate degree (MBA) in Human Resources Management from American International University (AIUB).

Poonam Alam is an entrepreneur with numerous enterprises in the UK and Bangladesh. She is a Founder Director of Hellenic Sourcing Hong Kong Limited which is a Swedish-Bangladeshi joint venture garments buying house with offices in Bangladesh, China, India and Sweden. She is a Co-Founder of Alpha Square Partners, a UK based BPO and a Director of Aerolex UK Limited, a UK high street travel agency.
Poonam’s passion is innovation: new business ventures and start ups. She is currently on the lookout for fresh investment opportunities.
Poonam did her undergrad from The London School of Economics and her Masters from The School of Oriental and African Studies in London.
Prima Alam is a social researcher with experience in public health and development. She is currently completing her PhD at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). Her main research interests include health inequalities, gender, sexual and reproductive health. She is Founder-Director of Research & Development Associates, a UK-based enterprise which aims to encourage youth engagement in health research through capacity building activities and training.
Prima has an undergraduate degree from the London School of Economics, a postgraduate degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China as well as an MSc in Sexual and Reproductive Health Research from LSHTM.
